A Traveller

You stock in my head
like a stone stokes in a gap
like a tree root deeps in the soil
like a sentimental rock sinks in the undersea
like the greenhouse gas keep absorbing  heat
like the plates of Earth that keep colliding
like the "global warming" project that keep popping in my head

You are hard to read
like a mysterious novel that keeps me thinking
like an abstract poem that I never understand
like a prolonged play that eats a big chunk of my time
but in the end I find it impossible to finish reading
because it's so long
like a woman's long dress that makes her stumble
like the stem of a Douglas that keeps extending
like the Nile river,
which you can never see a confluence from one point

When I was defected by frustration
You came to my life like a beam of light
Although, it was a light of a pale moon
Or a light of a fire beetle
However, it flys into my heart and light up my whole world
I was too young, too naive
too easy to be affected
too blind to see the inherence
And you
like a wind that brings me cool and fresh air
And you
like the sunset which amazes me but soon brings out darkness
And you
a traveler, getting on the train
No one knows where you will go
but indeed
you will not return
and I
will no longer stay

  1. WOW! I am amazed by how you discussed the otherwise totally unpoetic geology/science project in such a figurative way! I loved your passionate writing and your artistic style (including the picture! ;) ) Overall the poem is very expressive and was really enjoyable to read! I am looking forward to reading more of your poems! :P
